Axión gauging control solutions showcased at Smart City Expo

15 November 2018

Smart City Expo, the global congress dedicated to smart cities, welcomed more than 21,000 attendees and 700 cities to Barcelona between 13 and 15 November for its eighth edition.

This three-day event showcased the latest advances in digitalisation and new technologies designed to simplify or enhance city life.

A prime example of this, as exhibited on the Bosch Security Spain stand, was the gauging control solution in which Axión plays a key role. This is an automatic head-counting, flow control and occupancy control system for indoor and outdoor spaces, which works thanks to IP cameras with embedded video analytics.

Meanwhile, Fiware announced its initiative which, together with the Fiware Foundation and other partners, features the Axión gauging control platform.

Artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, the cloud, 5G, digital transformation and connectivity were just some of the topics covered by more than 400 speakers at this congress featuring 60 parallel events and 844 exhibitors in total.
