Coverage Systems in High Crowded Areas – Axión and 5G

Axión sponsors the third edition of the 5G Forum, a meeting place for 5G leaders. This year, it took place virtually, during May 6 and 7, having the registration of more than 500 participants from 220 companies and more than 3,500 users from 40 countries.

Among its more than 30 speakers, Francisco Hurtado, Technical and Operations Director of Axión, presented his vision of the coverage systems in areas of high user density based on DAS, a service developed by our subsidiary Iberia Small Cells Networks, and the success case of this coverage system implantation in the Lagoh shopping center in Seville.

In addition, within the virtual demos area, Axión made available access to the complete study carried out by Danaisy Prado, a researcher at the ITEAM Institute of the Polytechnic University of Valencia and by Luis Bretón, Axión’s radio engineering manager, showing the future of wireless communications, in 5G or in future generations, in areas with high user density, making use of millimetre bands.
