City Platform. A new milestone for Axión in the urban and sustainable development of the city of Huelva

Axión has been awarded the contract to supply a City Management Platform featuring georeferenced information and the integration of vertical systems for energy efficiency and irrigation management.

Huelva City Council, as part of its remit for the city’s sustainable development and technological advancement, has approved the introduction of an integrated platform to improve municipal management by providing intelligence to analysis and decision-making tools.

This platform will integrate a series of independent management verticals, such as irrigation management, energy efficiency and other initiatives aimed at improving the coordination of these public services – particularly in the area of public safety – whilst encouraging resident participation and advancing digital skills. Furthermore, the platform includes a Geographic Information System (GIS) for the georeferenced representation of elements and data.

For this project, Axión is collaborating with the companies Emergya Grupo and Gabitel; the city platform is the result of combining the NagáN and FIWOO platforms developed by Axión and by Emergya Grupo and Secmotic respectively.

The solution is based on FIWARE open-source technologies and has been developed in accordance with the specifications, capabilities and functionalities set out in the European interoperability standard for smart city platforms.

This is a strategic project for Axión, involving the roll-out of a city platform to serve a large city such as Huelva, with a commitment to technological growth in Andalusia and to energy and management efficiency – fundamental pillars of Axión’s ESG policy and key factors for the sustainable urban development of local authorities.
