Axión performs the capacity control of Andalusian Pavilion in FITUR

At this year’s International Tourism Fair (FITUR, in its Spanish acronym), which took place from 22 to 27 January, the Andalusian Pavilion was controlled by a people counting system with nine Bosch cameras working on the Axion Traxión system.

This is a smart counting system that registered and counted people within the Andalusian Pavilion, as well as at the entrances and exits.

With a dashboard that displays statistical data in real time, the Traxión system also allowed the Andalusian tourism and sports ministry to monitor and record the footfall to its stands in the central area and in the business area.

The Traxión system provides data on capacity, footfall or entry/exit data by time slots (maximum, minimum, average, occupancy percentage).

Axión boasts extensive experience in projects related to the Internet of Things and has already rolled out this system in smart cities such as Seville (during the Holy Week of 2018), where it was used by the security forces for crowd control.

This year’s International Tourism Fair was once again a hugely popular event. Particularly evident at this edition was the boom in technology applied to tourism and the development of smart cities.
