The Digital Content Center of Malaga hosted the ‘5G Forum’ on April 25 and 26, the first multidisciplinary meeting on the 5G held in Spain.
Presidents of companies, managers and experts analysed the advances around 5G technology: Internet of Things, Smart Cities, connected cars, telemedicine, emergency services…. they had their space in a complete program of presentations and exhibitors.
With 250 daily assistants and more than 100 participating companies, including Axión, the 5G Forum is constituted as a specialised reference forum. A unique opportunity to exchange knowledge of the practical applications that this technology will have, as well as a first level point of technological networking.
Jorge Alberto Jiménez, Axión’s CEO, highlighted the importance of the infrastructure neutral operator for the success of the new deployment and made a comparison between 4G and 5G.
The meeting was inaugurated by the mayor of Malaga, Francisco de la Torre; the councilor for Employment, Business and Commerce, Javier Carnero; and the CEO of Red.es, José Manuel Leceta.
The city council of Seville, intervened on the second day of the conference, where the mayor, Juan Espadas, presented the results of the successful Smart City pilot project that worked during the Easter Week as a sample, of use case applied to the security of citizenship of new technologies.
