On 31 March and 1 April, the 2nd Technical Committee meeting of RECI (Spanish Network of Smart Cities) took place in Seville, serving as a meeting point for professionals in the IoT sector.
Axión, as an active player in the IoT sector, represented by Cristina Peñas, Sales and Development Director, took part in the panel discussion ‘The building as an internal element of the city. Use Cases’, where she presented Axión’s experience and success stories in Smart Cities solutions, highlighting the company’s strengths in covering the entire IoT value chain – from sensors to operation and maintenance, including connectivity, servers and integration – with a particular focus on Nagán, the platform developed by Axión.
This forum highlighted the Spanish model for smart cities which, through the UNE 178 standard, has enabled the development of open and interoperable platforms, such as Nagán. Furthermore, it raised the profile of eight projects from different cities selected under Red.es’s Smart Building Pilot Scheme, achieving a real impact not only on people but also on the consolidation of the national industry.
