AXIÓN AT THE 5G FORUM IN SEVILLE

As it has done every year since the event’s inception, Axión attended the 5G Forum, which held its fifth edition from 9 to 13 May.

Axión’s presence at the 5G Forum is yet another demonstration of its commitment to 5G technology, a catalyst for digitalisation in society, government and industry; it is no surprise that this event has become a benchmark for showcasing the latest advances in this technology, addressing such key topics as the roll-out of 5G, smart cities and the IoT, connected cars, health and telemedicine, emergency services and smart tourism.

This fifth edition was held in a ‘hybrid’ format (in-person and online) and, for the first time, in Seville, with an opening day on the 9th which took place at the Seville Conference and Exhibition Centre (FIBES). Among the virtual demonstrations, Axión showcased a real-world case study of lighting and safety management carried out in the tunnels on the A-381 motorway between Jerez de la Frontera and Los Barrios (Cádiz), where Axión provides one of its Smart and IoT solutions for tunnels. This is a pioneering smart lighting project in Spain, capable of adapting the lighting response inside the tunnel according to external factors such as brightness and opacity, thereby preventing glare for drivers entering the tunnels. This project represents a technological revolution in road traffic management, monitoring, managing and controlling the lighting response at all times. You can watch the video via this link.
