First Edition of the Axión Telecommunications Bachelor’s and Master’s Thesis Award

Axión, in collaboration with the Higher Technical School of Engineering at the University of Seville, is announcing the first edition of the Axión Award for Bachelor’s Theses (TFG) and Master’s Theses (TFM) related to the telecommunications sector. 

This initiative is part of the Collaboration Agreement between the two entities, aimed at promoting joint efforts focused on the development of research projects, training activities, and scientific outreach in the field of telecommunications. 

The competition seeks to promote academic excellence by recognizing the most innovative Bachelor’s Theses (TFG) and Master’s Theses (TFM) that make the greatest contribution to the telecommunications sector in the following areas: 

• Broadcast networks (television: DVB-T2, UHD; radio: FM, DAB+; others: 5G broadcast). 

• Emergency networks (Tetra, DMR, 5G). 

• 5G, 6G networks, and potential applications. 

• Radio-link transport networks. 

• Other radio communication technologies. 

Open to students whose final undergraduate or graduate theses align with the subject matter described in the guidelines and that have been submitted to and graded by the Higher Technical School of Engineering (ETSi) at the University of Seville during the period from February 1, 2025, to January 15, 2026, with a grade of 8 out of 10 or higher.  

Axión will award a single prize of €2,000. 

The submission deadline is February 2, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
